Firstly I must apologise to my blog and those who read it. I have certainly been “slack” and over the past few weeks have made updating my blog a secondary thing to do. Now this is really bad because I did promise myself at the start of the year I was going to do frequent updates.
Not much to update this week as the renovations are going along strongly and taking up the majority of my time.
The house renovations are coming along nicely with painting well under way. It’s amazing how good a fresh white coat of paint looks. I anticipate painting will be finished over the next week or two and will post before and after pictures of the renovations then.
A really quick update this week – things are very hectic at the moment…
So, renovations are certainly under way now the loan has been approved. So far I have purchased paints, plaster and some basic tools and coming well under budget at this stage which is great.
Well, my loan should be processed this week (perhaps even tomorrow!) meaning I should have some money in the bank to start the renovations as part of my overall Zero to a Million strategy. With the assistance of my grandfather, I will start in putting up a false wall up in the lounge room to build a fourth bedroom. Then, the other renovations will follow.
Last week, there was some good news. With the help of my parents, I am able to obtain a small renovation loan to get started on house preparations for sale. The loan be signed and processed roughly on the 4th of February.
Today my FitBit celebrated 10000 steps in a day. Now I have easily done this before but it’s kind of nice having it recognised.
Yesterday I had quite a good cardio workout and well on my way on losing more weight. I used to be 130kgs last year but now after weighing myself I am a much healthier 95kgs.
I got most of the things I wanted to get done except for probably one of the most important things, letting my partner know of my moves this 2014 year.
Ok great – I have now come up with my ‘house spruce’ plan and budget as follows…
Available resources:
My grandfather (available full time)
Myself (available after business hours)
My mum, dad and brother (available for a few days here and there)
Things I would like to do (prices do not include labour as it is intended above resources will assist and time stated is timeframe, not actual effort):
It certainly has been a busy week so I am going to begin by reflecting on the week that has gone by.
Looking at the action plan I had set for days 6 to 10, plus two days for the weekend actually bringing it to day 12, I am quite happy to say that I am on track and have completed everything I wanted to do thus far.
